Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) Exam Coaching in Bangalore

IBPS currently functions as an Autonomous body that is mainly engaged in conducting competitive exams for recruitment to clerical and officer ‘post in banking Sector. There are two exams for Probationary officer two for Clerical levels and one for Specialist officers

The Exams for Probationary Officers (PO) are held in 3 parts. The table given below shows the IBPS PO Exam Date for different Stage of IBPS PO selection Procedure

There is negative marking for wrong answers in both preliminary exam and mains exam one Fourth of the total marks will be deducted for the question marked wrong by the candidate.

IBPS (POMains)

The IBPS PO Main exam is also conducted online It has made the exam pattern similar to the SBI PO Mains Exam The IBPS PO mains will be consist of 2 parts – Objective Test and Descriptive Test both the parts will take place Online.

IBPS PO Mains – Descriptive Test

The Descriptive Paper will be of 30 minutes Duration with 25 marks assigned to the test of English Language. You will be tested on Letter Writing & essay. You will be needed to secure passing marks to qualify the Descriptive Test to be decided by the bank.

The Descriptive Test Paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks in Objective Test and Placed adequately high as per total marks in Objective Test.

IBPS Clerk:

Age Limit: The candidate must be 20 years to 28 years. The final criteria for IBPS clerk exam will be released along with the official notification

Education Qualification: A candidate must possess the minimum qualification of Graduation in any Discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the central Government.

The Recruitment Process of IBPS Clerk CWE Occurs in Two Phases

  • Preliminary Examination
  • Main Examination

Students are required to qualify both these exams to get selected for the post of clerical cadre in most of the premier Public Sector Banks. The main thing to note here is that there is no Interview Process required for the selection of candidate after the main exam .100% weightage is given to the result off main exam result.

The Preliminary exam of IBPS clerk CWE is an online exam testing a candidate on the Basis of their Aptitude, intellect and English. There are three Sections in total and the candidate must clear the cut off each section to Proceed to the mains exam round. Candidates are required to solve the question paper in the time frame of 1 hour. The composite mark of the paper is 100 and the passing marks is decided by IBPS that is likely to change every year depending on the level of difficulty of the Exam

IBPS Clerk Mains Examination

The total duration and the number of questions asked in mains examination of IBPS clerk exam have been revised In the last update by IBPS ,Clerk Mains Exam will now Constitute of 190 question that need to be completed I a frame of 160 minutes. Previously Computer Aptitude and Reasoning Ability section used to be conducted separately but in the recent update by IBPS both these sections are amalgamated together and will constitute of 50 question that needs to be solved in a time duration of 45 minutes. Both Preliminary exam and Mains exam will be conducted bilingually

Final Score Calculation for IBPS Clerk Exam

The final score for the IBPS clerk is calculatedkeeping the following points

  • Marks obtained in the Preliminary Exam ( Phase-1 ) will not be considered for selection.
  • Candidates must Qualify Phase – 2 to be eligible for final merit.
  • The aggregate score out of 100is used for the final merit list for each category candidates with top merit rank in each category are finally selected.

IBPS Specialist Officer (SO)

About IBPS RRB Exams

This is one of the several bank exams conducted by IBPS. It is held for Recruitment to regional rural bank (RRBs) or Gramin Banks. The Institute of Banking Personal Selection (IBPS) conducts a Common Written examination (CWE) on behalf of 62 regional Rural banks as a pre requisite for selection of Group A Officers (Scale-I, II, III) and Group B Assistants (Multipurpose) The Final recruitment is conducted independently by each participating RRB which issues a separate notification specifying the Number of vacancies and eligibility criteria.

Aspirants need to secure the required cutoff score in each section of IBPS RRB Prelims and Mains/Online Single exam as per their category.

IBPS will also fix state-wise cutoff score to select Aspirants for the post of Office Assistant (Multi-Purpose). The IBPS RRB cutoff score will vary for each state.

  • There will be sectional as well as overall cutoff
  • There is negative marking .A penalty of ¼th marks assigned to that question will be deducted for every wrong answer
